Yay Jesus Boo Jesus

Odd, isn't it, how so many people cheered Jesus and then called for His crucifixion? But maybe it's not surprising considering how fickle the human heart is (Jeremiah 17:9). It's just hard to believe sometimes that the Lord's way and not my way is going to be best.

Jesus came to be King over all  -- even how we live our lives. But it can be a struggle when we face correction. It takes such grace to give and receive godly correction. But that's where we find out who our true friends are: "Wounds from a friend can be trusted but an enemy multiplies kisses" (Proverbs 27:6; see also Proverbs 15:5; 9:8-9; Psalm 141:5).

Got friends? (The picture portrays Judas' kiss of betrayal.)

Palm Sunday and Holy Week are nearly here! I'm excited for Sunday and the week ahead. Hope to see you there!

Pastor Rick, I just wanted to say thank you so much for your Palm Sunday message yesterday, I would have to say it is the best message I have heard on palm sunday, I appreciate all the background you gave us prior to the story of palm sunday, and talking about the prophesy, I had never heard it that way before, even though its right there in the scriptures, guess I never thought about the events that took place as events that were fufulling prophesy, such as the route Jesus took and the fact he rode on the donkey.
Thanks for making it so clear - Can't wait to hear your Easter message - Have a blessed week - I'll be praying for you!

I'm glad the message pulled the story together for you. It's amazing to see how, with such care and detail, God puts together a plan and fulfills it! That's good to know for life's journey!

Thank you for your prayers -- much needed!
