Very excited to worship and fellowship together at Shalom tomorrow! It's going to be a great day! Hope to see you there!
Picking up our previous conversation . . . intentional parenting emphasizes love and guidance. It is the healthiest environment in which to raise a child. Steinberg writes, "Stay involved, even though your teenager may not seem as though he or she wants it . . . There is a great deal of evidence that teenagers thrive when parents and teachers are psychologists call 'authoritative.' This means warm, firm and fair" (The 10 Basic Principles of Good Parenting).
Clearly, God calls for intentional parents. "You shall teach (God's commands) diligently to your sons and shall talk with them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up" (Deuteronomy 6:7).
What is your next step in intentional parenting?
