When Mary heard the angel tell her that she would conceive a son named Jesus, that He would be called great and the Son of the Most High, that His kingdom would never end, she asked, "How will this be, since I am a virgin?" The angel revealed that, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore, the child to be born will be called holy-- the Son of God." This, of course, is a BIG statement. So, to encourage Mary's faith (and ours) the angel adds that her relative Elizabeth who was old and without child is now pregnant. The angel concludes, "For nothing will be impossible with God!" (Luke 1:35-38)
Can God do the impossible? Can God overcome obstacles? Can God transform your day? "Nothing is impossible with God!"
May we, with Mary, respond, "Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word."
